As reported in the August Newsletter, the new website is up and fully functional.
We have been receiving some very impressive reviews!!!
Members can view the calendar of AFSG events (keep in mind that we are still waiting for the 2025 room reservation confirmation from CAM on September 20th), archived newsletters and other communications, links to Veteran services and the Foundations that we support. Members can also pay annual dues as well as purchase and pay for Club logo merchandise on the website.

VETERANS DAY 2024 REMINDER
CAM Activities has planned a great VETERANS DAY Program and we have been asked to participate. Our part of the program will kick off around 10:45 AM to honor the history of the Day. The Flag Detail will present the Flags of all the branches of the Armed Forces at the Veterans Monument followed by an essay read by the winner of a local Middle School contest about “What a Veteran means to them”. There will be a band and other festivities. Lunch will be available from two food trucks beginning at 10:30 and running until 1PM. The trucks will be provided by CAM Activities.. We are still looking for Members to judge the submitted essays. If you are interested please contact Jim Angarella at [email protected].

A lot of us have not submitted our names and status as Veterans to Cam Activities. These are the folks who prepare the list of names of Community members who have Served, and publish it in the November edition of Lifestyles Magazine. If you are new to The Grand or have been here for a while and just haven’t gotten around to it, please let them know ASAP so your name will be in the magazine. Just email or stop by the Activities Desk. No documentation is required. Let them know what branch you Served in.

We are also in the planning phase for an additional Social event in early December.
The September event was a lot of fun. It was attended by 18 AFSG Members. Great seeing all who were there!! Thanks for being there.
We are also in the process of adding a Veterans Coffee Chat on October 8th.
Once the details have been worked out we will send an e-blast with the information.
